One of the biggest mistakes I see beginners make when first starting disc golf, is not having a flat angle and dragging your disc in a straight line when you are throwing.
Throwing your disc high up in the air will result in your disc flying all over the place while covering shorter distances.

4. Stay focused!

Every now and then, everything seems to go against you when you are playing disc golf. Your disc might be flying straight through the chains of the basket or keep rolling downhill on you.

The most important thing to do in these situations is to remember, you are here to have fun.
Getting overly aggravated and frustrated when things do not go your way is only gonna make things worse.
Try to have fun and stay focused!

5. Lay your disc up for a safe putt

Another big mistake people do, is trying to putt from distances and angles they will miss 95% of the time.
Instead of trying to get that one crazy putt, rather try to throw your disc in range of the basket where you’re comfortable putting it from. Doing this will help your overall score over the long run.
